The first Weather Master adjustable awning was manufactured
in 1953, under the name of Wrought Iron Awnings by the late
Alwyn Naude who pioneered sun control in South Africa and was
the inventor and patent holder of the adjustable awning,
first in South Africa and possibly the world.
Presently, Weather Master products are still manufactured
and marketed by the sons of the late founder, under the
company names of Sun Control Products (Pty) Ltd. and
Adjustable Sun Control CC.
